Thoughts: Thor and his friends travel on a quest for glory but find themselves under attack on a mysterious island.
Thor must seek out a hammer he has seen in visions as the legend of the God begins.
So this is an origin story for the Norse Gods. And what a band of fools they are!
The source of their main problem is probably as obvious as any plotline could be and yet these people set to be Gods fail to spot it. For ages.
They are also, for such mighty warriors, tactically naive and it's a wonder any of them survive. If the film parts were better then none of the above would matter. But the script is laughable, the acting weak, and the whole thing feels quite flabby.
Plot prompts come in from miles away and are so blindingly obvious it hurts. The most disappointing thing is that the actual story isn't the worst. But every element of the execution has issues.
